You need only to call directly to the apartment.  Ask about their income qualifications. This can vary based on county median income levels. Income limits, after you become a resident, are checked every year to see if you still comply.  Rules regarding this can also vary.

Type of Residence:

Most listings are apartment homes, high rise or low rise, or garden apartments.  Sometimes you can find single level homes. 

Communities listed here are for active adults over 55 or 62+ and most do not include meals and services but have kitchens. For communities with services, see an Assisted Living category.

Determine what your needs are and check with the community as to what they offer.

Newer Developments Sometimes Have More Amenities

You may notice that some of the newer developments have the latest amenities, lots of activities and are on the cutting edge. Check with each community to see what they offer.  These types usually do not come with services such as meals or housekeeping.
