Jensen Communities at Myrtle Beach

Jensen's Ocean Pines Residential Community
at Myrtle Beach

Driving into one of the Jensen communities at Myrtle Beach called Ocean Pines, a manufactured land lease community for over age 55, was a pleasant surprise. We were visiting Myrtle Beach to discover retirement communities there and just happened upon Ocean Pines. The location is on the southern end of The Grand Strand (same as Myrtle Beach), which seemed to be one of the nicest residential parts of Myrtle Beach. It is close to beaches, shopping, restaurants, hospitals and activities of Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach is a beehive of activity with new home construction going on everywhere. This community is very quiet throughout and features many scenic views--an oasis off of busy highway 17. The gently curving streets, crystal lakes, and very tall, mature pines give one a feeling of relaxation. This is what you look for when you retire.

The manufactured homes varied from older models to very new deluxe ones. All of them were well kept and neat. This over 55 park was quiet and serene. We saw a clubhouse there and sparkling pool. It was a hot June day and the pool would have been convenient for a quick dip. Just minutes away, however, is the Atlantic Ocean beaches.

For inquiries about Jensen communities at Myrtle Beach, there is a sales office located on the property for new homes or resales. This is a land lease community, meaning you purchase the home only and lease your land. The land lease is included in a monthly homeowners fee which covers various services and amenities. Low maintenance items include tree and shrub pruning.

The prices are very reasonable, starting in the $80's. We saw some homes that were in the low $100's as well. Myrtle Beach prices can reach into the millions for a condominium on the beach. You are located very close to the beach here for those long beach walks, warm breezes, and warm surf and that is what Myrtle Beach is really all about no matter how much shopping they build here. If you want shopping, restaurants, activities, it is all there on highway 17, just out your door, but inside this community is a peaceful oasis.

The Atlantic ocean is just minutes away and the Intracoastal Waterway is about a mile. It is down from the Brook Green Gardens. If you are looking for a pleasant and reasonably priced community with all the outstanding features of Myrtle Beach, then view Ocean Pines by Jensen Communities.

So if its independence you desire, with your own home, but low cost living, this lovely Jensen community may be what you are looking for.

Country Lakes is another of Jensen communities at Myrtle Beach. This one is above North Myrtle Beach, another great location. If you wish to contact Jensen's, you can find their website at www.jensencommunities.com. The address of the community is 3196 Moonshadow Lane, Garden City Beach, South Carolina 29576.
