Brookfield Homes hasn't made the experience enjoyable just for the design-talented but has available experts for those who need help. They have even brought in a flooring specialist to advise you.

Providence is the active adult contingent of Brookfield Homes, a builder with 50 years experience. Their development at Heritage Shores at Bridgeville, Delaware, lures surrounding states with Delaware's tax incentives. It is also only 30 miles to Rehoboth area beaches, boardwalk and fabulous shopping.

The area: For retirees, being "out in the cornfields" will be a lot quieter than being around Rehoboth, but expect a lengthy drive to savor the ocean air. The nearest shopping is a half mile away at Food Lion, but during the summer months, there are plentiful roadside stands for fresh fruits and veggies.

They offer 5 detached homes floor plans and 3 attached floor plans. However, there is a large selection of elevations and design options. They are all single-level living but the exteriors look as if there is a second story. This is where their "sky basements" are offered as an option for storage. One model offers an option of a loft and sky basement. Please verify this information and details with the Sales Manager.

Providence at Heritage Shores offers Universal Design Features options which help with aging in the home. There are built-in seats in the showers. You also have choices of porches, verandas, sunrooms, screen porches and sky basements.

Your landscaping will be professionally designed. The current homeowners fee is around $210, but that could change so ask them about it. Always verify all information. It includes all of the amenities except a golf membership is extra. The amenities are extensive and luxurious including Clubhouse for activities, restaurants, Fitness Center and Indoor Pool. There also is a beautiful outdoor pool, golf course, walking and biking trails and tennis courts.

Today the surrounding area is not yet developed and is surrounded by cornfields.

Two programs are important to mention: Providence by Brookfield Homes at Heritage Shores is an Energy Star community for extra savings. They also have instituted a customer service program called "Priority One" which has a high level of requirements to give you, the customer, the service you expect.

Since these reviews are totally without compensation, I can be honest in my opinion of the community, and I felt their customer service was excellent as far as the Sales office was concerned.
