Retirement Communities-The Hamptons of Long Island, New York

...ideal retirement location

Retirement Communities-The Hamptons of Long Island, New York, are located on the "south fork" of Long Island. This area is the one known for celebrities homes.

Why do the wealthy live here. There are a few rare places like this in the United States that attract the very wealthy and celebrities and The Hamptons is one of them. For one thing, it is near New York but that can't be the most important factor because there are places nearer to New York. Celebrities like to be together. They like to live in areas that have many exclusive multi-million dollar homes and they like to live in healthy environments. They are insiders and know the great places.

The Hamptons, because it is further out from New York and surrounded by water, has a more pristine environment. The water and air are of good quality. There isn't traffic congestion yet there are great nightspots and restaurants. There is access to great fresh produce from the farms and vineyards on the North Fork--there is the ocean air.

But even if you don't have a couple million sitting around somewhere, you can visit or live in or near "The Hamptons." There are a few retirement communities here with prices much less than a million dollars that can enable you to live in and enjoy an area much coveted by the rich.

And the best way to keep in touch with what is happening in The Hamptons is through a free publication called "Dan's Papers." www.danshamptons.com
