The Hamptons
of Long Island, New York

Here is a list of retirement communities in "The Hamptons."  They are located on the "south fork" of Long Island, NY, in the townships of Southampton and East Hampton.  They are composed of a group of villages.  This area is known for celebrity mansions.

Why do the wealthy live here. Of course, there are beautiful homes.  There are a few rare places like this in the United States that attract the very wealthy and celebrities and The Hamptons is one of them.

Celebrities like to be together.  They know that when the community is used to celebrities being around, they won't be bothered as much by passers-by.   They also like to live in areas that have many exclusive multi-million dollar homes to choose from in healthy environments.

This is an area of great beaches and fresh ocean air, country farms, little traffic, produce stands, glamorous restaurants and night life.
