Florida retirement communities--one of the top three areas for retirement. More seniors move to Florida for retirement, especially from the Northeast, than any other state for lower cost of living and warm climate. We can expect this trend will continue.
Studies show people moving from the Northeast prefer the east coast of Florida. Retirees from California most often prefer retirement in the western part of the state. Retirees from the midwest more often choose to retire in the central part of Florida where the cost of living may be lower. These are some retirement trends interesting to observe.
