Background history:

Originally there were Brookfield Homes and Lennar homes here. Brookfield purchased the former Lennar community at Heritage Shores and Lennar is no longer there.  Since approximately 2011, there is also a Ryan Homes community, Legacy at Heritage Shores. There are now 2 quality builders in this location, about 30 miles to Rehoboth beaches.

Amongst the cornfields, across the street, you will see an entrance of two fountains showing that you have arrived. It is a broad expanse with freshly planted trees, which will feature 1800 homes on 800 acres (verify). Heritage Shores

The surrounding neighborhood is not developed yet, but with its location only 30 miles to Rehoboth, the ocean beaches and outlets, it does hold promise to be an exciting place to retire.  The well-known tax advantages of Delaware include no sales tax and lower property taxes.

While beaches are not far, it is designed to provide everything you need right here.
