A beautiful waterfall and pond entry greet you at Stoneleigh Woods at Riverhead, off Middle Road on the East end of Long Island by Blue and Gold Homes.
The gated entrance gives you a feeling of exclusivity and major shopping is not too far away. Being on the North Fork assures a country ambiance. The beaches are close too. The air is fresh. We were greeted by the friendly agent with bright smiles.
We enjoyed the extensive tour she gave of Stoneleigh Woods at Riverhead and she didn't rush us but made us feel at home. We were impressed, too, with the affordable prices for so much--a good value.
The builder is Blue and Gold Homes with other award winning communities on Long Island as well for over age 55.
Selling Well
Stoneleigh Woods at Riverhead started in 2008. This over 55 community is now sold out.
They will have approx. 176 units at finish of project. (verify)
They have another older community right beside this one called Sunken Pond Estates started in 2003, resales only, and can be seen by appointment.
Two Large Floorplans
Stoneleigh Woods community had 2 large floor plan models, The Aspen started around $425,000, end units, and The Birch started around $405,000, which are the interior units. There are 4 units to a building. (Please verify all information as it can change.)
The community is on 40 acres with a 3900SF clubhouse, heated outdoor saltwater pool and fitness center.
Homeowners fee includes snow removal, trash removal, lawn care and sprinklers (please verify what is included.) The taxes are approximately $4400/yr (Aspen) and $4200/yr (Birch)-- please verify as this information changes.
The Birch is a split level with 1 bedroom down and one up and The Aspen has both bedrooms downstairs with a very large storage or guest room upstairs (ask if optional and extra price).

Nice large front porches and also includes concrete patio. Of course, there are options for extra prices to make the concrete patio a brick as shown in the model etc.
